5 Most Amazing Not-Yet-Well-Known Beaches in Lombok

The island of Lombok is less well-known than its neighboring world renowned island, Bali. However, the beaches here in Lombok are just so beautiful and their beauty will for sure blow your mind. You might have heard about the Gili Islands located northwest of the main island, but Lombok has so much more to offer than only those three small islands. Hidden, untouched, quiet, and paradise are probably the most suitable 4 words to describe these amazing virgin beaches of Lombok. Here are some amazing beaches in Lombok where you can find peace and quietness mainly due to the fact that not many people know these beaches:

1. Pantai Kaliantan
Located in East Lombok Regency, Kaliantan Beach is one of those hidden white sandy beaches in Lombok where not many people know its existence. To be exact, it's located in the southeast corner of Lombok island, near Tanjung Bloam. The texture and color of its sands resembling those of peppers is what makes this beach unique. It takes about 2 hours to get here from Mataram by taking Mataram-Praya-Jerowaru-Pemongkong-Kaliantan route.

2. Pantai Surga
As the name suggests, this beach is just like a heaven / paradise on earth (Surga means Heaven). The main attraction here is the amazing waves for surfing. However, you can also do some snorkeling here. But with its current condition, the surfing and snorkeling equipment rentals is not available and therefore you need to bring your own equipments.

3. Pantai Sungkun
Also located in the Southern part of East Lombok Regency, Sungkun Beach is just as amazing as other beaches in this area. You can reach this beach from either Pantai Kaliantan or Pantai Sorga.

4. Pantai Tangsi (Pink Beach)
Pantai tangsi is getting more popular nowadays but there is not enough development here and still not many people have visited this amazing pink beach. Now known as Pink Beach due to its pink color reflection of the sands. Here when you get a chance to do some snorkeling and explore the beauty of the underwater, you will definitely be amazed.

5. Pantai Selong Belanak
Located in the Southern part of Central Lombok Regency, it's actually not quite far from the city. However, this beach is not as popular as Gili Islands even though the scenery and panorama here is as beautiful. For photographers, this is like heaven since there are many amazing landscapes that can be captured amazingly through the lenses.
